Couchsurfing Gathering - Newport Folk Fest!!!

Hello fellow CSers!

I hope you are as excited as I am about the Newport Folk Fest!

There are going to be tons of CSers from all over the world in Newport this weekend for the Folk Fest and I think it would be an incredible experience if we all were able to meet up, hang out, and enjoy the music together (and hopefully a robust number of beers during and after.)

Meeting Location:

I, (and the 8 surfers I will be hosting over the next 4 days) will be getting there first thing on Saturday morning and staking out a spot near the main stage (the Fort Stage. Which is not in the Fort. The one actually inside the Fort is called the Quad Stage. Oh well.) I will have some kind of CS flag or banner or something to mark our location. I'm going to bring a journal for everyone to leave a message in. I'd also like to get a short video clip of everyone saying where they are from and such and make a CS event video.

Here is how you can help:

1. Come hang out! Meet up with us! (Easy enough right?)
2. Spread the word. Post this in other groups you are a part of. Share the info with other CSers who you know are coming to Folk Fest. (Also a fairly easy task)

Shuffle up the songs and let it rip. There is at least one album by nearly every performer at this year's Folk Fest.

This can be a really incredible event if everyone makes a little effort to spread the word!
